Our Process
Precision Cleaning. Trusted Service.
Every project is handled individually, based on what needs to be cleaned, its condition, and your timeline.
1. Evaluation & Planning
The process begins with information. The best way to get started is by sending photos or short videos of your window treatments, along with any relevant background details.
The more context you can share — such as upcoming painting or renovation work, water issues, pet stains, or timing considerations — the easier it is for us to guide you in the right direction and plan the work efficiently
2. Removal & Preparation
Once a project is scheduled, window treatments are removed as needed based on the type of treatment and the agreed-upon plan.
Each piece is labeled so that, when we return to reinstall, everything goes back to its original location without issue. If treatments need to be removed for cleaning, temporary privacy shades can be installed for your convenience.
3. Cleaning
Most items are cleaned in our workroom, where we have the space, lighting, and time required to do the work properly.
All cleaning is performed by hand using only eco-friendly solutions. Items are cleaned as many times as necessary to achieve the best possible results, rather than forcing the process. Certain treatments — such as motorized shades — are cleaned on site when removal is not appropriate.
4. Drying & Finishing
After cleaning, fabric window treatments are rehung and allowed to air-dry naturally. No machines are used and no heat is applied at any point, which helps avoid shrinkage and other issues associated with accelerated drying.
Drapery and sheers are hand-steamed in the workroom once dry to ensure they are properly finished before returning to the home.
5. Reinstallation & Storage
(If Needed)
When treatments are ready, they are returned to the home and reinstalled in their original locations. Any necessary touch-up steaming is completed at that time to address wrinkles from transport and ensure everything is rehung neatly and finished correctly.
Next Step
If a project requires an extended period between cleaning and reinstallation — such as during renovations or painting — storage arrangements can be made in advance. Longer-term storage is discussed upfront so expectations and timing are clear.
