Services
Professional Care, Done Right
Our cleaning methods are guided by experience, fabric knowledge, and judgment. What matters most is choosing the safest and most appropriate approach for your specific cleaning needs. There are no one-size-fits-all methods. Your window treatments are custom and deserve to be cleaned properly.
Our service includes removal and reinstallation. Motorized window treatments are cleaned on site.
If you are planning any additional work in the apartment, please arrange for us to remove the window treatments first to protect them from potential mishandling by well-intentioned but untrained contractors
Drapery & Sheers
We clean lined and unlined drapery panels and sheers made from both natural and synthetic fabrics — including everything from lace sheers to blackout-lined silks.
Most drapery and sheers are removed and cleaned by hand in our specially designed workroom using only 100% eco-friendly solutions. Once ready, they are reinstalled, dressed, and steamed so they hang exactly as they should.
Roman Shades
We clean both lined and unlined Roman shades, including those made from sheer fabrics.
Sheer Roman shades filter the air and tend to collect the most soot, often requiring multiple cleanings to restore their appearance.
While your Roman shades are with us, we can also perform small repairs such as cord replacement so they are returned clean and fully operational.
Roller, Solar & Blackout Shades
Manually operated roller shades, including solar and blackout shades, are removed and cleaned in our workroom, where we can take full advantage of the custom cleaning tubs and tables designed specifically for this purpose.
In the workroom, we’re able to address the dust and soot that gradually build up over time — particularly in Manhattan, where fine black soot is common and can quickly coat surfaces. This setting allows us to work carefully, repeat steps when needed, and take the time required to achieve the best possible results.
Hunter Douglas® Fabric Shades
Hunter Douglas® fabric shades are cleaned in our workroom. These well-engineered, serviceable window treatments can perform and clean beautifully for many years when handled correctly. We have cleaned thousands of Hunter Douglas® Silhouette®, Duette®, and Luminette® shades over the years.
Our experience allows us to safely clean both light-filtering and blackout fabric shades using methods appropriate to each material. With proper care, these shades can continue to look and function well for decades.
When these shades are removed for cleaning, we can provide temporary privacy shades until they are returned and reinstalled.
Motorized Shades
Motorized shades require a different approach than manually operated window treatments. Because they are often connected to electrical systems and home automation controls, these shades are cleaned on site.
This allows us to avoid unnecessary removal, disruption, or reprogramming of the existing system.
Top Treatments
We clean all types of top treatments, including valances, swags, and cornice boards. Depending on size and installation, cleaning may be performed either on site or in our workroom.
Each piece is evaluated individually, and we recommend the approach that makes the most sense — ensuring thorough cleaning while respecting both the installation and the client’s preferences.
